The homework consists of just one page of sentences in English from a captivating series of short storytelling excerpts. You will need to complete your homework prior to your participation in the video class on the next Friday. Simply translate each sentence from English into Italian to the best of your ability with the help of Google translate. Save your homework file on your computer so that you can work on it during the ZOOM video lesson. Time needed to do your homework is about 15-20 minutes.

The Zoom link invitation will be sent to you 15 minutes prior to the beginning of the next Friday class, which is scheduled to start at 7 pm CST. Therefore, on that Friday, open your computer 15 minutes before 7 pm and check your email to receive the Zoom invitation link. If you don’t see it, wait a few minutes before notifying me that my email hasn’t arrived. Check your spam and trash boxes, as well. If this is the first time that you use ZOOM, you may have to activate the free ZOOM APP to be allowed to participate in the class.

The ZOOM CHAT, which can be saved on your computer, is an important feature of the lesson. It allows to discuss in writing each student’s translated text and visually learn how words are used, written and correctly pronounced. The chat always includes valuable instructor’s notes for the understanding of idioms and grammar. All in all, with the help of the instructor, the classes aim at simplifying learning Italian by combining vocabulary, pronunciation and grammar, each treated as an integral component which cannot be ignored.
